My name is Olivia. I'm a home health physical therapist with LHC. I've been with LHC for 16 years and counting. Um So my husband and I moved here from the Philippines. Um 18 years ago, um we worked at different settings. I initially was hired for a rehab company, uh a nursing home actually. Um But uh you know, it was good. I worked there for two years and then I just kind of wanted something more fulfilling. And um when I tried home health, I also, I, I already was kind of working pr N for them and I loved it. And so, you know, it was, it was history after that, you know, so I start early. Um and then I would say I see an average of maybe 6 to 7 patients a day. I love the socialization that it gives you, you know, and then like I said, the fulfillment in seeing them progress, you know, we see them. Um I would say on average at least four weeks, sometimes even longer, depending on the diagnosis. So it's amazing how that first visit and that last visit makes a big difference. Um That's my highlight especially if I see that every day, every week, we see some improvement. So, um looking at your whole career thus far, um do you feel like uh LHC has given you an opportunity to uh you know, remain here but also improve yourself for like future endeavors? Um They actually kinda sent me once to Illinois. Um There was, I can't remember the city but there was a lot of foreign trained physical therapists. And so because I went through that process, so they asked me to help them with training and all that. So I feel like that was a good opportunity. Nothing is bothering you on evaluation. The first day I met a patient, I could kind of tell um how I should approach a patient, especially on the first day. So evaluation day for physical therapy, we do a home modification or home assessment first. So home assessment, if we see something that needs to be modified, then we have to put it into action. Of course, not everybody's receptive to that. So I've had a few patients. Oh, that rug stays. That rug is my favorite rug. Even if I fall, it's gonna have to be there. So how I approach it, I try to be friends with them the first day you have to make them feel that. Look, I'm here to help. I'm here as your friend. I'm not here to boss you around. I'm not changing your house, but I can advise you know, I, I feel like I can give you some tips to make it easier for you. Well, we, we do our best because really and truly the, the purpose of home health, especially physical therapy, of course, to get better, but to go back to prior level of function and especially, I guess it, it, it even matters more if they live by themselves because they know that if they can't do the things they used to do independently by themselves, then the only other option is to go to the nursing home and, and that's that they want at all, you know, at all costs, prevent that. And of course, what the patient's goal is, that's going to be our goal too. So, basically I'm working for the patient if she tells me, you know, the first day too, you know, I meet them. What's the, you know, so, usually, and almost always, you know, I wanna go back to how I was. And so that's basically what her goal is. That's my goal too. So we're gonna try to keep them home at all costs. You have a good one? Ok. Ok. And you'll have a good one too. And thank you all for coming call us if anything changes, Miss Jane. Ok. All right. Thank you so much.
