Responsibilities
The RN Clinical Director (Registered Nurse) is responsible for overseeing and directing the patient care operations of the home care facility under the direction of the Home Health Executive Director.
- Coordinates and completes assigned projects to effectively support the immediate and long-range objectives of the company.
- Oversees the eligibility of patients referred to home care services, planning for the services to be provided to patients and supervising their total home health care.
- Implements and maintains administrative practices, agency philosophy, goals, and policies which assure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Enhances the profitability of the agency and engages with the team to assure the quality of services delivered.
Education and Experience
License Requirements
- If Clinical Director is an RN, must have current RN licensure in state of practice.
- Current CPR certification required.
- If Clinical Director another clinical discipline (PT/OT/SLP), must have current applicable license in the state.
- One year of supervisory and/or management experience in home health setting or related healthcare setting preferred.
- Current Driver's License and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
- The Home Health Agency shall designate an Agency Supervisor with one of the following sets of qualifications (1) Bachelor's degree in nursing and at least 1 year of nursing experience OR (2) a registered nurse with 3 years of nursing experience with 2 of those in a home health agency, community health program providing care of the sick, or family- centered nursing program in a community health agency AND at least 2 years of the 3 years of nursing experience must have been obtained within 5 years prior to employment with the home health agency. (3) No one person may hold the positions of both home health agency administrator and Agency supervisor.
